As shown in the photo above, review jobs are invite-only jobs, and you’ll only get an invitation to do such jobs if you’ve proven yourself to be an excellent transcriber/captioner/translator. When starting out, you’ll get access to basic transcription jobs.
If you want to work on captioning jobs, you’ll need to take and pass a qualification test for captioning. The same goes for translation jobs.
For the proper process of how to earn, you need to log in to the dashboard and go to the job board section to see all the available jobs. Now, keep in mind that some jobs require you to have a certain rating to be eligible to work on them.
So, you can’t just accept any job. When starting out, you can only accept those that don’t require a rating.
Another important thing that you need to know is that each task has an allotted time (deadline) for submitting your final work. The allotted time is shown for each job, and the clock starts as soon as you click the Accept Job button.
If your time runs out, you won’t be paid for the job, so make sure you can dedicate the required time before accepting a job.
Now, when working on a job, you have to use their system. This means you don’t have to use third-party word-processing software like Microsoft Word. Their system also works with certain foot pedals, which are essential tools for working as a transcriber.

Once your job is approved, your client will be able to give you a rating. Your overall rating is a running average of your last 10 rated jobs. And as explained above, your rating will help you gain access to more earning opportunities, which is why it is very important to always do your best when working on the job if you want to maximize your earnings from SpeechPad.
If you feel that you will not be able to submit the work before the deadline, you can request a one-time extension. However, Speechpad will only approve this request in exceptional cases, such as emergencies, power outages, or similar extenuating circumstances.

How to join SpeechPad?
