Introduction
Monster Jobs is an online job board that connects job seekers with employers offering various positions across industries. It provides a platform where you can search for job opportunities, apply for them, and potentially be contacted by employers. However, it’s important to note that Monster’s role is limited to facilitating job connections; landing a job and getting paid depend on the employer. With a straightforward sign-up process and a wide range of job listings, Monster Jobs can be a useful tool for job seekers, but finding the right opportunity may take time and patience.
What is Monster Jobs?
Monster Jobs, or Monster for short, is a legitimate online job board where you can find legitimate job offers from various companies.
Now, to find out if it’s worth it, the first step is to understand how it works.
How to find Employment at Monster Jobs?
Before talking about what Monster Jobs offers, let me just make it clear that when you become a member, there is no guarantee that you will earn immediately. So, if you are looking for an opportunity that will let you earn immediately, this is not for you.
To potentially earn through Monster Jobs, you need to secure a job with one of the employers using the platform. Now, you can get a job in two ways – you can apply for one, or an employer will contact you and potentially hire you.
What you need to remember is that Monster’s responsibility is only to provide you with job offers and help you get the job you want. Anything beyond that, and you’re on your own.
So, let’s discuss the first method of landing a job.
If you are interested in the job offer, click on it to view the complete details. On the details page, you will see the job duties, location, qualifications and salary.
If you are interested in the job, you must click on the “Apply” button. Then, Monster will guide you through the application process. Once you upload your resume, Monster Jobs will automatically submit it. After you’ve submitted your application, the next step is to sit back and wait. This is where Monster’s responsibility stops.
If the employer is interested in hiring you, they will contact you and schedule an interview. If the job is for a remote position, the interview will usually be conducted online. If the job requires you to go to an office, you must go to a specific location for the interview.
If you pass the interview, it means you got hired. Typically, you will go through an onboarding process or training depending on the company that hired you.
For other methods, it is quite similar. The only difference is that it is the employer who initiates the contact first.
Everything else will be almost the same. You still have to go through an interview, onboarding process and/or training. The jobs you will find at Monster are very diverse. There are opportunities available for virtual assistants, speech therapists, software developers, graphic designers, and many other professions.
There is practically something for everyone. Just remember that most job offers require you to live in a certain country to be eligible, so finding a job isn’t as easy as you might think.
How do you get paid from Monster Jobs?
When you are hired, the employer is responsible for paying you. This means you get paid through a payment gateway that both you and your employer have agreed upon. Based on my experience, the payment methods most often used by employers from online job boards are quite convenient.
They will usually use PayPal, bank transfer or Payeer, which are among the most convenient payment methods available today. When you get paid also depends on the employer’s payroll hours. Since you will become one of their employees, you will have to follow their salary release schedule.
A good thing about this is that you don’t have to earn a certain amount to withdraw your earnings. You will always get your salary every pay period, so you have to be a little patient.
Overall, I would expect the payment system used by employers to be quite convenient, so you shouldn’t worry about how you get paid in my opinion.
How to join Monster Jobs?
To find out which countries Monster Jobs is available in, simply scroll down on the homepage and you’ll see a dropdown menu where you can select the language and country. If you do not see your country listed, it means you are not eligible to join.
Signing up as a Monster member is relatively easy. You can use your Google, Facebook, or Apple account to register. You can use your email address. After the sign-up process, you will be asked to upload your resume so that Monster can automatically create your profile using the information provided in your resume.
This is a great feature that makes the registration process much easier in my opinion. After you complete this step, you can review your profile and make sure everything is in order before you start applying for jobs.
