Introduction
SurveyBods is a UK-based online survey platform owned by ResearchBods, a company specializing in providing analytics and consumer insights to brands and organizations. As a member of SurveyBods, you can earn rewards by participating in paid surveys and prize draws. The platform uses a points system, allowing users to exchange points for cash (via bank transfer) or gift cards once they reach a threshold of 1500 points (£15). Although the opportunities to earn are limited to UK residents aged 16 and over, it offers a straightforward way to make extra money by sharing your opinions.
What is SurveyBods?
As mentioned, SurveyBods is a survey site which will reward you for answering surveys.
SurveyBods is a UK-based research community. It is owned by ResearchBods, which is a company that partners with other brands and organizations to provide analytics data. Since it is a survey site, you can expect that the main source of income will be answering surveys.
Make money by SurveyBods Paid Surveys
As I mentioned, your first method of making money on SurveyBods is to share your opinions through paid surveys. The problem is that surveys are not always available.
This happens on many survey sites, but on SurveyBods, in my experience, it happens more often than on many other UK-based survey sites, so it is something you need to be aware of.
According to their website, it is mandatory to complete profile surveys after you have completed your registration. This will be their basis for assigning surveys to your account and can help you get more surveys.
For each profile survey you take, you will be awarded 25 points. In my opinion, this is a good thing because the time spent completing your profile will be rewarded.
Think of it as a bonus for completing your profile. Once you complete your profile, you can then start taking surveys. The survey topics you are sent will vary and will depend on the answers you give in the profile survey.
Now you might be thinking that you can manipulate their system by choosing answers that you think will increase your chances of getting a survey. But I don’t recommend doing that.
You need to answer all surveys as truthfully as possible because providing misleading information is grounds for termination of your account. And survey sites often have systems in place to detect many inconsistencies.
The length of the surveys given will vary. The longer the survey, the more rewards you will receive. The good thing is that you will be told what the reward is and the estimated completion time before you start the survey.
This way, you can always decide which surveys are worth your time and which ones are not.
Make money by SurveyBods Prize draw
Prize draws are also common on survey sites. SurveyBods is no different. They hold prize draws every month. The prizes will vary though, so don’t expect a specific prize for each draw. Typically, the prizes will be points or gift card prizes, but they will announce the exact prize when they announce the prize draw.
Typically, you will be able to earn entries for the prize draw as prizes from the surveys they offer. In my opinion, you can’t really count on this type of earning opportunity as it will be based entirely on chance.
You can consider yourself lucky if you win one prize draw in a year. But if you are lucky, it’s nice to have the opportunity to earn extra.
How do you get paid from SurveyBods?
SurveyBods uses a points system for their rewards. You will earn points for completing surveys. Then you can use those points and exchange them for cash or gift cards.
Once you reach the appropriate points balance, you can exchange it for an Amazon gift card or have it deposited directly into your bank account.
You could request payment by check before but this is no longer an option as it was slow and inconvenient, in my opinion, it’s not really a disadvantage.
However, you do need to reach a payout threshold of 1500 points (equivalent to £15) before you can redeem your rewards. In my opinion, this is a bit on the high side of the payout threshold. This means you need to complete a fair number of surveys.
Also, if you request payment by bank transfer, it can take up to 3 weeks for you to receive the money. For gift cards, it usually takes about 5 days. If you want to make money fast, I recommend you check out the fastest paying survey sites.
These survey sites have low payout thresholds, so you should be able to withdraw your money quickly.
How to join SurveyBods?
During the registration process, you will be asked what country you live in. This is a confusing part of the registration process.
You will be asked what country you live in, and you will have a lot of choices. However, after checking who is eligible to join in their FAQ section, it says that only UK residents aged 16 and over can join SurveyBods.
Their registration process could have been structured in a way that would have immediately informed you that you are not eligible to be a member of the site because you are outside the UK.
This would have saved you a lot of hassle trying to register.
There are a lot of survey sites that do it this way. So the question arises in my mind as to why they would ask you what country you live in, when, in fact, only UK residents are allowed to join?
In my opinion, this is just poor website planning and design. If they can’t check where you live, there is an easy solution. They could have just displayed the information on their homepage, which you would see immediately.
A typical website visitor wouldn’t think to check the FAQ section first before signing up. However, there are many great survey sites in the UK, so if you’re here, SurveyBods is still not the best choice in my opinion.
