Once you become a tester on Testlio, you have the opportunity to test in two ways. First, you can get an invitation from them to join a trial workshop. You will receive invitations based on your profile, device, certifications and job preferences listed.
Once you join a workspace, you will be assigned testing tasks by the testing team lead. Only those jobs where you have certification will be assigned to you. Testlio is very specific about what tests it can take, so if you want to earn from the site, you’ll need to pass the certification test (more on this later).
As a tester, your mission is to identify problems and bugs. You need to give feedback on the tests you have conducted. Also, you’ll be expected to collaborate with members of the testing team, so it’s not a one-man show. If you are not ready to do any of these, this is not for you.
Another way to get access to testing services is to apply for them on job opportunities boards. You can check out active job options through the “Find Jobs” tab on the Member Dashboard.
Once you click on a job opportunity, you will see the requirements to be able to apply for the job opportunity, such as location or device You can also see the type of exam required for the workplace.
If you are confident that you can do what you want to do, you can click the Apply button and follow the rest of the instructions. Most of the time, you will have to fill out a form and answer a few questions.
After you apply, you just have to wait for the job opportunity to close to know if your application has been accepted or rejected. If you are accepted, you will be added to the workplace. If your application is rejected, you will receive a rejection email regarding the specific job opportunity you applied for.
Now, all you need to know about testing for Testlio is that you get paid by the hour and you have to test using their platform. That way, they can track how long you worked on the task.
After completing your testing task, the team lead will review it, and if everything is fine, they will approve your work and you will earn a certain amount, which will be credited to your Testlio account balance.
How do you get paid from Testlio?
You will be paid while you work on the test tasks. The hourly rate you get will depend on the country you live in.
Testlio processes payments automatically every week. At the end of each week, as long as you have earned something during that week, your earnings will be sent to you via PayPal or Payoneer.
How to join Testlio?
Testlio is available worldwide, so you can sign up as a tester anywhere in the world. However, signing up as a tester is not as easy as you might think.
After you complete the registration process, the next step is to take a certification exam called Functional Regression Testing. This test is designed to assess your testing ability so they know if you are eligible to participate in the testing opportunities they offer.
Think of this test as a process to weed out unqualified testers. So, you must take this exam seriously because if you fail, you cannot retake it. And if you fail, you will not be able to participate in any exam opportunity.
This is why becoming a Testlio tester is not so easy and it is not for everyone.
