If you are asked to test a mobile app, you will be asked to download the UXTesting app. But obviously, for each experimental project you participate in, you will need to record a video explaining your thoughts.
So, make sure you have a device with a front-facing camera (a phone or laptop) and a microphone. Be sure to record the video in a quiet room so that you can be heard clearly. After recording your video, you will need to submit it to UXTesting for review.
If everything goes well, you will receive the reward indicated in the test invitation, which will be in the form of a certain amount.
Now, I am not sure what the process is like for testing physical products because I never got to do it while testing the site. Also, there is not much information on their website about how their experimental projects work, so I can only guess based on my experience.
If you are asked to test a product, it will usually be sent to you by mail. But if you are asked to buy a specific product, they will pay you for it. Then, you will be asked to record a video of your thoughts about the product and give feedback. Sometimes, the project will also ask you to answer a survey designed to collect feedback.

One thing I noticed is that there aren’t many projects available. While this may vary depending on your location, in my opinion, the earning potential is lower than usual.
How do you get paid from UXTesting?
When you participate in a test project, you will earn a specified amount of money, which will be sent to you via PayPal. So, if you decide to sign up for this website, you will need a PayPal account.
Payment will be automatically processed after your work is approved. Then, it will take up to a week for the money to be credited to your PayPal account.
The payment process is relatively easy. I like that there is no payment threshold for withdrawing your earnings. You just have to be patient because you have to wait a week to get your earnings.
How to join UXTesting?
The site is available anywhere in the world. Just keep in mind that in some countries, there will be less earning opportunities. Based on my experience, the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and major European countries usually have higher earning opportunities.
To become a tester, you need to fill out a registration form. Then, the site mentions something about a sample test that you need to pass.
After completing the registration process, you just have to wait for the project invitation, which will be sent via email. Because, as mentioned earlier, there is no dashboard where you can log in to check out the available projects.
