However, earning through the program depends on the ability to convert these leads into paying clients. In addition, as a Professional Partner, you can earn a percentage of your clients’ Site Plan subscriptions for the first year.
What is Webflow Experts?
Webflow Experts is a program designed by Webflow.com to help web developers and designers find income opportunities. It is primarily a network of freelancers who serve SMBs (small and medium-sized businesses) and mid-market customers.
Make money by access to leads
The Webflow Experts program primarily offers leads, but it doesn’t guarantee income. In other words, it’s not a surefire way to earn. You must convert the leads received from the program to earn.
Once you become a professional partner of Webflow, you will be asked to provide information about the services you can provide, the budget of the projects you are willing to work on, as well as your availability.
These will serve as the foundation for leads sent your way. The number of leads you receive will vary. Sometimes, you’ll only get one, and sometimes, you’ll get more. Now, how you are able to convert those leads into paying clients is up to you.
From what I’ve observed, the leads you get are actually quite decent, so there’s a good chance of converting them into paying customers. Of course, you also have the option of rejecting a lead if, for example, the client’s budget doesn’t fall into your preferred budget range.
Make money with Revenue sharing from site planning
As a Webflow Experts Professional Partner, you are eligible to receive a percentage of your clients’ Site Plan subscriptions. The details aren’t exactly clear because Webflow’s website doesn’t clearly detail it, but the idea is that you get a 20% commission every time your client gets a site plan from Webflow.
Just keep in mind that this will only be for the first 12 months of the subscription period, so it’s somewhat limited.
Now, you might be wondering, what is a site plan? Well, a site plan is a hosting plan for a client’s site. When a client asks Webflow to build a website for them, they need to purchase a site plan to get a custom domain.
This is a nice addition to the income you get for building a website for a client. Of course, as mentioned, you will only earn from the first year of subscription, so this is not a regular way to earn.
How do you get paid?
When you convert a lead into a paying customer, you need to let them know how you’ll get paid. So, how you pay is really up to you. You can choose to pay via direct bank transfer, PayPal, AirTM or any other payment gateway. You just need to make sure that the client agrees with the payment system of your choice.
As for earning from revenue sharing, it’s not entirely clear how Webflow Experts will send you money because, as mentioned, there isn’t much information about it on their website. However, I would assume that the payment method used would be quite convenient (such as direct bank transfer or even PayPal).
How to join Webflow Experts?
Now, here’s the hard part. Becoming a professional partner for Webflow Experts is no easy task. You need to apply for a place in their Webflow Expert program. To become a Webflow expert, you must demonstrate both proven expertise in Webflow products as well as a successful history of building sites for clients.
The first step is to have all the necessary certifications to qualify as a Webflow expert. As shown in the image above, four certifications are required. The good thing, though, is that you can take all the tests in the Webflow dashboard. You can log into the dashboard using your Google Account or email address.
Once you go to the dashboard, you must go to the certification section and take all the tests. Be sure to take your time while answering the certification exam because becoming a Webflow expert depends on passing that certification exam.
If you pass all the certification tests, the next step is to fill out the application form. Then, as mentioned, you need to provide evidence of your experience as a web developer/designer. Then, you must share your brand presence (your website or blog or something that shows that you are a good web developer or designer).
After completing these steps, you must submit your application and wait for the approval from Webflow Experts. If you are accepted as a Professional Partner, you will receive an email with instructions on the onboarding process. Your journey as a Webflow expert begins here.
