The platform facilitates remote work applications, offering an easy process to apply and track your status. However, Wellfound is not involved in payment arrangements—these are managed directly by the hiring company. Available globally, some jobs may be location-specific.

Now, let me make it clear that what Wellfound offers is an opportunity to find a job that you can apply for. Wellfound is legitimate because the job opportunities you can find inside the platform are from legitimate startups or tech companies.
How to find jobs?
As explained above, what Wellfound offers is an opportunity for you to find jobs to apply for. Once you become a member, you can log into the dashboard and immediately see all the available jobs you can apply for.
Wellfound will automatically filter the jobs you see according to your profile, so all the job offers you see should be a good fit for you.
You will find jobs for software engineers and developers, graphics designers, marketing, operations, sales, management and more.
These job offers are usually from startup companies and are usually technology-based companies or businesses. Now, if you are interested in the job, click on it to see the complete details. You will then see the expected salary, type of work (whether it is full-time or part-time), responsibilities, requirements and location.
If you are going to apply, you must submit a request to the employer. This will serve as your cover letter. After you write your note, click the Apply button, and Wellfound will submit your application along with your resume (if you uploaded one during the profile creation process).
Your application will then appear in the Applications section of the dashboard. Here you can check the status of your application. If the employer is interested in working with you, you will get a notification from Wellfound. You will also receive an email regarding your application, so you do not need to log in to the dashboard to check the status of your application. You can just look at your email inbox.
The next step is to go into the interview procedures. Since most of the work is done remotely, you can also expect the interview to be conducted online. You usually need to make a Zoom (or other online conference platform) call and speak to a company representative.
This, in my opinion, is the most essential part of applying for a job. As with any other job application, it is important to impress your potential employer during the interview phase. So, brush up on your communication skills better if you want to get a job.
After the interview, the employer will consider whether you are the right person for the job. Generally, employers require a certain level of skills and experience, so if you already have experience to back up your application, you have a better chance of getting hired.
If the employer wants to hire you, you will receive a new notification, as well as an email from the employer regarding their onboarding process. You must follow all instructions and submit all necessary requirements to start your new job.
As you can see, Wellfound is hands-off about the complete application system. It really connects you with potential employers.
How do you get paid?
Since Wellfound is not involved in the earning process, you can also expect that it will not be involved in the payment process. You see, when you get hired, you essentially become an employee of the company that hired you.
So, you can expect to get paid through the payment method that the company is using. Based on my experience, remote workers usually get paid through some convenient payment gateway like PayPal, Payeer, AirTM, or even direct bank transfer.
So, this is what you should expect as a payment method. And since every job is salary-based, payments will be sent automatically and you won’t have to meet any threshold to receive your earnings.
How to join Wellfound?
Wellfound is available more or less worldwide, so you’ll be able to sign up as a member no matter where you are. However, you must keep in mind that some job opportunities require you to live in a certain country.
So, even though you can sign up as a member, there is no guarantee that you will get job opportunities unless you live in major countries like the US, Canada, and the UK.
To sign up, you can use your Google Account, or you can create your own username and password After signing up, you must set up your profile. At this stage, you need to choose your preferred job type (full-time or part-time), your skills, experience, preferred salary and location. You have the opportunity to send your resume.
After setting up your profile, you will be able to log into the dashboard and start applying for jobs.
